BACKGROUND/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mike is a Vice President at Kunzik & Sara Construction, Inc. He has been in the construction industry since 1992 and is responsible for all pre-construction services. Mike works closely with clients, city agencies, architects, and engineers to identify the project scope and budget to the owner's requirements and satisfaction.

Mike has a wide range of responsibilities that include client relations, value engineering, design development review process, estimating, and scheduling. He has experience in multi story steel frame, wood frame, post-tension concrete and pre-cast concrete structures, as well as the integration of the structural system with the building's cladding, interior, mechanical and electrical systems. Mike utilizes his experience in these and other building components to provide the client and design team with proactive input from a contractor's perspective to drastically improve the project.

Mike has been involved in design/assist, design/build and traditional project delivery methods and shares his background in construction development to deliver successful projects. He has experience in nearly all current automobile franchise image programs from remodel projects to ground-up facilities.

Due to the rising cost of property and other building program requirements, several projects incorporate parking structures. Mike brings his experience in large foundation systems, pre-cast, post-tension and conventional cast in place structures to the design development process thus adding significant value to the project.

Mike is also responsible for leading all corporate information systems and integrating the construction company operations with those systems.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University.
